With 7 years of teaching experience, Marquiesha Morris has built a strong foundation in education, having taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades before finding her home in 2nd grade, where she now serves as grade chair. Coming from a family of educators, Mrs. Morris has always felt a deep connection to teaching and the impact it can have on students’ lives.
She is especially passionate about supporting multilingual learners and students of all abilities, ensuring that every child feels valued, capable, and included in the classroom. Her dedication extends beyond her students to their families and her colleagues, as she fosters a culture of collaboration, encouragement, and growth across the school.
As both an educator and a parent of Baggett Elementary students, Mrs. Morris is committed to the overall well-being of the school community. Her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to excellence make her a shining example of what it means to be Teacher of the Year.
